About the only thing that might be relevant is a program hash.
Thanks for checking, then probably no point in sharing it, and also thanks for helping with the problem here. 👍️
About the Microphone Node: if you got this security message on app start, could it be that you are opening a project that has a Microphone Node placed from earlier? Auto-saving persists between versions, so if you were working with a Microphone Node in the previous 0.2.1 version, and loaded AudioNodes up after the 0.3.0 update, the previous project might be still there (depending on whether you uninstalled before and also deleted app data in the process).
The reason I'm asking this much about the Microphone Node is that I did some digging, and it seems it's indeed possible that, rarely on some devices, this node can needlessly request a mixed input feed of combined audio and video, only to then throw away the video. If this would turn out to be the cause of the issue here, I can say it's fixed for the next update (coming probably early January).
In the meantime, can you please try the following:
- disable the webcam in device manager if you have security concerns
- start up AudioNodes
- check if you have any leftover Microphone Nodes placed by any chance, and delete them
- restart AudioNodes
Or alternatively, you can please try starting AudioNodes with the --cleanstart
flag, clearing any auto-saves, like so:
path/to/AudioNodes.exe --cleanstart
Let me know if that does it, and thanks for reporting this issue.
PS: in worst case, this is merely a slight performance issue, there are no privacy implications to this if you downloaded AudioNodes from https://audionodes.com
