The oscilloscope node is pretty small, with the actual graph being smaller than the blank space of a regular node.

Shrinking the margins significantly would be an improvement, and giving the option to stretch the width especially would be very nice. Other analyzers also have large margins.

Dark mode would be nice.

I tend to use ctrl-shift-z for redo instead of ctrl y, but that causes an undo instead. Having both do the same thing would be good.

I re-export rather frequently. There are a lot of clicks involved:
Click the 3 dots, click project, click export, click one of the export again buttons, click start, click save, click yes

There are 2 things planned for the foreseeable future here:

Like the spectrum analyzer node, the oscilloscope (and vectorscope) node will also get an expand/shrink toggle from their right click menu. It's just simply not done yet.
There are plans to enable undocking the properties panel of each node into a separate window, which would enable you to float an oscilloscope (or other analyzer) around. It's not yet clear if this'll mean piling all of them into the same window (with e.g. a grid layout), or each node having its own window, but it's highly probably both variations will be gated on a paid sub (same as undocking the timeline into its own window now).

Both should enable considerably more screen space for the visualization, once development gets there that is.

Simple enough, I made the change for this today, should be in the next update (anticipated end of May or early June). Thanks for the suggestion. 🙂

Thanks, this is all great insight. I'll share some thoughts and progress about some of them a little later today.

Not much I can add to the rest at this time.

Dark mode (and probably full light mode) would be nice as you put it, and it's not the first time it comes up, but I don't see it being done in the near future, as it'll take a lot of tech work under the hood.

Exporting will probably get renamed to "Rendering", and placed in the header next to the playback controls (along with a new project-level recording mechanism), but at this stage this is an idea at best.
