Hey @dgrcode
The latest blog post (https://audionodes.com/blog/coming-updates-and-2018-summer-roadmap/ as of now) is pretty much how things stand currently, although we are already done with most of the work, and not sure if the update can fit into August, it may leak into September.
Some key highlights of the next update which are already completed:
- Removed latency issues from VST plugin node (although it's still windows-only, unfortunately, and not sure if that will change with this update; if not, the next one will likely take care of multi-platform support)
- You can now drag-and-drop audio files on the Timeline directly (just as in most other audio editors, e.g. Audacity), and then AudioNodes will wire-up the connections and Nodes automatically by itself, which you can then modify manually
- A bunch or sharing tools have been added, although it's still not decided which ones will be actually used, so I cannot tell more at this time
- Subpatches, of course; this is big stuff, as with them you can group any given set of Nodes into re-usable units
And then we have the usual barrage of bug-fixes and all-around improvements.
Also, thanks for your general feedback, it means a lot! ?
